The Historic Structure Repo·rt for the George Washington Carver Museum contains four primary data sections - administrative, history, landscape, and architectural. Prepared from 1977 ·through 1979, the Report . has had a number of authors and contributors. The Administrative Data Section was prepared by John Paige, Historian, and David Arbogast, Historical Architect, both of the Denver Service , Center in July of 1979. Initial research and investigation for the History Data Section was conducted by John Jenkins. From ·this research a draft of the History Data Section was WTitten by Dr. John Platt, Historian, of the Denver Service Center. This draft was edited and revised by John Paige, resulting in the final History Data Section. In 1978 Edward Pryce, landscape architect with the fi~ of WilliamsRussell Associates of Atlanta, Georgia, and retired professor of landscape architecture at Tuskegee Institute, prepared an Historic Landscape Report for all thre buildings of Tuskegee Institute National Historic Site. Sections pertinent to the Carver Museum were reorganized and included as the Landscape Data Section. The Architectural Data Section reflects the input of a number of Denver Service Center personnel. Architect Dick Kusek developed the preliminary design for the adaptive reuse of the interior in conjunction with George Thorson, Senior Historical Architect, and the staff .of Harpers Ferry Center, primarily Judith Johnston and Richard Browne. Beginning in 1978 David Ates, Historical Architect, and David Arbogast prepared .the bulk of the written body of the Architectural Data Section. The engineering discussion was written by Curtis Edlund, Structural Engineer; Robert Thielke, Mechanical Engineer; and Jeff Gould, Electrical Engineer, all of the Denver Service Center
