A boundary patrol was conducted along the borders of Saguaro National Park (east and west districts) that interface with urban areas. The patrols were part of the Urban Interface Project which is funded by the Nature Resource Protection Program. The overall purpose of the project is to protect the park's invaluable resources by increasing outreach to the park's residential neighbors by involving them in naturalist outings, volunteer events, an d a revitalized ParkWatch program,
