Suggestions for improvement of the draft Recovery Plan outline which were the result of discussions at the workshop. The second Stakeholder Workshop of the Florida Panther Recovery Plan revision process was held in Gainesville, Florida on April 1 & 2, 1998. The purpose of the workshop was to engage representatives of a broad range of groups interested in or affected by the Recovery Plan in reviewing and refining a draft outline of the revised plan. The draft outline of the revised plan was prepared by the Panther Recovery Team based on input from stakeholders at the Initial Stakeholder Workshop held in October of 1997. Approximately fifty representatives of interested or affected groups participated in the workshop. Both workshops were part of a revision process which will include the following steps. Initial Stakeholder Workshop - Interim Recovery Team Work - Second Stakeholder Workshop - Interim Recovery Team Work - Third Stakeholder Workshop - Interim Recovery Team Work - Generate Issues, Revise Recovery Objective, Develop first level stepdown strategies Incorporate input and initiate development of a draft plan, Solicit questions and input Develop and refine the plan Seek consensus on critical issues Incorporate input and refine the draft Review and refine draft Seek consensus on critical issues Write final draft This report presents the suggestions for improvement of the draft Recovery Plan outline which were the result of discussions at the workshop
