LiDAR Acquisition for Hurricane Sandy Response Virginia and Maryland
US Army Corps of Engineers. 2013. LiDAR Acquisition for Hurricane Sandy Response Virginia and Maryland. US Army Corps of Engineers. Virginia and Maryland coast, including Assateague Island National Seashore
Post-Hurricane Sandy LiDAR topographic data for VA and MD, includes Assateague Island National Seashore. HQUSACE required high-resolution digital elevation data developed from airborne LiDAR technology for the Assateague Island, MD; Assateague Island, VA; Tangier Island, VA; Cape Henry to Willoughby Point, VA; AOIs for a total of approximately eighty (80) square miles in the North Atlantic Division. FINAL DELIVERABLES: The final deliverables are listed below. The final LiDAR data was delivered in a UTM projection tiling format, based on a modular layout. The tiles were clipped to eliminate overlap between adjacent tiles. The 1000 meter x 1000 meter tile file name was derived from the National Grid naming convention. • LAS v1.2 classified point cloud NAD83 UTM Zone 18N Meters, NAVD88 GEOID12A Meters. • LAS v1.2 raw unclassified point cloud flight line strips no greater than 2GB NAD83 UTM Zone 18N Meters, NAVD88 GEOID12A Meters. • LAS v1.2 model keypoints NAD83 Zone 18N Meters, NAVD88 GEOID12A Meters. • 1 Meter 8-bit intensity tiffs NAD83 UTM Zone 18N Meters. • 1 Meter DEM, ArcGrid format. NAD83 UTM Zone 18N Meters, NAVD88 GEOID12A Meters. • Tile Layout and data extent provided as ESRI shapefile. • FGDC compliant metadata by file in XML format. • LiDAR processing report in pdf format.
