From the introduction: "This report summarizes the present status of rare vascular plants of state, regional and federal significance occurring in the Acadia National Park region. For each such taxon listed as rare by the State of Maine (Table 1), there follows a fact sheet, illustration, and distribution map(s). Appendix A provides a comprehensive list of vascular plants of Acadia National Park, Mount Desert Island, and the immediately adjacent coastal area.
