This Final Environmental Assessment (EA) evaluates impacts from non-native rats, cats and mongooses in Virgin Islands National Park, describes control alternatives and proposes actions to reduce their populations. By reducing their population size inside the Park, adverse impacts to visitors, residents and natural and cultural resources will also decrease. Collectively, non-native rat, cat and mongoose populations pose a significant threat to the native natural resources, long-term resource management programs of the Park, and visitor health and safety. The Final EA document has been prepared in response to comments and concerns received during the public review of the Draft EA.
