Specifically, the objectives of this report are to: 1) describe the patterns of plant communities within the Shark Slough portion of Everglades National Park as they existed in 1980. 2) describe quantitatively the composition of the marsh communities; 3) describe qualitatively the composition of selected Shark Slough tree communities. 4) provide supporting data on elevation, hydroperiods and soils sampled areas, and 5) infer, within the limits of available data, the changes m vegetation that may have occurred m Shark Slough.
