A report describing a project with a goal to virtually preserve archaeological historic structures in the Virgin Islands National park. Three principal investigators, sixteen student and graduate interns, and three volunteers performed a project to virtually preserve several important but threatened eighteenth to nineteenth century sugar factory structures at a site on Leinster Bay in the Virgin Islands National Park, St. John. The text of this report was written by a number of the interns and principal investigators and describes the project and the work performed. It was submitted to the National Park Service as an outcome of an interdisciplinary service-learning class at the University of Maine.
