Pimm SL, Curnutt JL, Nott P. 1994. Cape Sable Seaside Sparrow Annual Report 1994: Long Term Assessment of the Effects of a Modified Water Delivery Schedule for the C-111 Basin on the Cape Sable Seaside Sparrow
The 1994 Cape Sable Seaside Sparrow breeding season constituted the second year of this five year study. We collected field data from 3 April to 30 May 1994. Data collected included: 1) marking of territories of singing males; 2) establishment of three new permanent study sites; 3) color banding of 20 birds; 4) observations on two active nests; 5) partial completion of the annual extensive survey; and 6) initial analyses of the effects of fire on sparrow distribution and numbers. We present the results of our field activities as well as detailed descriptions of our techniques and proposed adjustments to our 1995 field season.
