Conflicts between black bears and wilderness users in Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, CA is discussed. Bear and human management options are presented. Hardware solutions include bear-proof cables, bear-proof poles, food lockers and food canisters. The canister solution appears to be most promising.
