Survey of white-tailed deer impacts

A telephone survey was conducted to survey 173 scientists and natural resource managers. The survey asked about field observations of deer disturbing endangered or threatened plant populations. Trends are noted in the article with some specific examples of various deer disturbances to plant communities. A table lists 26 national park areas and notes the types of vegetation affected. Mammoth Cave National Park was one of the sites tabulated.
