A baby dinosaur from the land of the giants

Chure DJ. 1992. A baby dinosaur from the land of the giants. Park Science. 12(3):6

The partial skeleton of a hatchling Camptosaurus was found in 1991 embedded in an ash deposit of the Morrison Formation in Dinosaur National Monument. This is one of only a very few hatchling dinosaurs known anywhere, and the 9" specimen is the only Camptosaurus hatchling known. Further excavation was planned to look for eggs or nests, and for lizards or other small vertebrates from the same period.
