The article describes a multidisciplinary survey for non-dinosaur fossil fauna and for fossil flora in the Morrison Formation, Dinosaur National Monument. Many types of vertebrates other than dinosaurs are also known from the monument, including turtles and crocodiles, lizards, and nineteen species of mammals. Along with investigation of these other fossils is a study of paleoenvironments, of pollen, animal trackways, marine invertebrates, and other clues to the life of the time period represented in this formation. The study is important to management decisions and to future research and excavation. Recent efforts have uncovered over half the fauna and nearly all the flora known within the monument from the Morrison Formation.
