Scuba diving has lifted the shroud off the deep and has made exploration of shipwrecks one of the hottest forms of entertainment for the recreational diver and a major management headache for the National Park Service. With little regulation, divers can loot artifacts from shipwrecks. The Submerged Cultural Resources Unit (SCRU) tries to protect these cultural resources.
