Ecological Aspects of Test Iteration 7: Experimental Program of Water Deliveries to Everglades National Park; First Annual Report [Draft]

1998. Ecological Aspects of Test Iteration 7: Experimental Program of Water Deliveries to Everglades National Park; First Annual Report [Draft]

This is the first annual report on the ecological monitoring component for Test Iteration 7: Experimental Program of Water Deliveries to Everglades National Park. Specific projects included under this program were designed by an interagency committee and are listed in Table 1. Under the first year of this program only projects which were specifically designated under the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed by the National Park Service (NPS), the Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE), the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) will be included in this first year monitoring report. These projects were chosen as indicators expected to provide close links to water management changes. Some of these projects were already in process as part of other programs and some projects were initiated under this program. This program will be re-evaluated each year after results are available and the annual report for the program is complete. As other programs and projects are reviewed and new data becomes available from projects funded under other forums, information will be included in this report as appropriate. This current document contains abstracted summaries of the existing programs funded under the Test Iteration 7 MOU. Methods and results are abstracted from the projects as listed. Recommendations will be provided as the projects progress. Projects abstracted and discussed in this report are listed in Table 2.
