White-tailed deer and wild hog are important game animals on the BCWMA. Deer and hog hunting constitutes a significant component of recreation on the area (Jansen 1986). Deer and hogs are also important food items for the Florida panther (Felis concolor corvi) (Belden 1983, Maehr et aL 1990). The purpose of this report is to provide population, harvest and biological information collected on these species during the 1999-00 hunting season on the BCWMA.
