Deer and wild hog are important game animals on Big Cypress National Preserve (BCNP). Deer and hog hunting constitutes a significant component of recreation on the area (Jansen 1986). Deer and hog are also important food items for the Florida panther (Felis concolor coryi){Belden 1983, Maehr et al. 1990). The purpose of this report is to provide census, harvest and biological information collected on these species during 1994-95 on BCNP.
