Deer and wild hog are important game animals on Big Cypress National Preserve (BCNP). Deer and hog hunting constitutes a significant component of recreation on the area (Jansen 1986). Deer and hog are also important food items for the Florida panther (Felis concolor coryi) (Belden 1983, Maehr et al. 1990). The purpose of this report is to provide census, harvest and biological information collected on these species during 1990-91 on BCNP.
