The red-cockaded woodpecker sub-population in Lostmans Pines (Big Cypress National Preserve) was studied to find the effects of hurricanes on suitable habitat. Objectives include population status of the woodpeckers, assessment of living pines, recommendation of habitat enhancement, and bolstering current population. Methods, personnel, deliverables, and budget are proposed.
