Report on coral reefs in Fort Jefferson National Monument. Includes information on quadrats, transects, recruitment, fish research, and classification analysis. Also includes a large appendix with tables and graphs. Quadrat and transect data from Loggerhead Key, Pulaski Shoal, and White Shoal were tabulated and analyzed for octocoral and stony coral abundance, cover, and species density. Recruitment tiles from these stations were examined and all scleractinian polyps were enumerated. A paper by Walter Jaap, Jennifer Wheaton, and Kelly Boomer Donnelly entitled, "Materials and methods to establish multipurpose, sustained ecological research stations on coral reefs at Dry Tortugas," was published in the proceedings of the American Academy of Underwater Sciences, 1990 ... Diving for Science Symposium. The paper describes site installation, photographic methods, and sampling techniques utilized at monitoring stations in Fort Jefferson National Monument (Attachment 1).
