This report is about my stay in the Everglades from January to April 1999. It contains some general information about the Everglades (section 2), research in the park (section 3) and my contribution to the project (section 4). It won't deal with the technical details of the monitor stations that are used for the hydrological monitoring. These are gone over in so many other reports of internship of previous students who worked with the project, that I couldn't contribute anything. I spent more time in writing a view for the future.
