“This writing material, gathers and organized for my own purposes, is not for publication. I send it to people who I think might be interested in it.” This is a report on someone’s personal natural history investigations of butterflies during the 2012 season documenting 875 records. It includes a one page description of the season, area, methods, weather, and techniques used (baits, mercury vapor lights). In the methods section it is noted, "During the 2012 season I worked on the Maine Butterfly Survey (about 305 butterfly specimens were collected and submitted for the survey)." The subsequent notes in the document are a detailed list of the species, date, location, and notes for all documented species. There were apparently some individuals kept as specimens for the MBS = Maine Butterfly Survey. There are some image scans of certain species that were not positively identified. There are some graphs at the end of the notes that provide information pertaining to the temperature throughout the field season.
