From Official Report: “A total of 2951 non-vascular plant specimens were added to the ANP/HCOA database. Of these, 1502, are Acadia National Park specimens. Each species was confirmed or updated to its most recent classification using the Integrated Taxonomic Information System, North American Lichen Checklist, Index Fungorum or Algaebase depending on the type of specimen.” The document then goes on to describe the methods of specimen handling, condition of specimens, and data handling procedures.
