Compiled existing data and information to characterize the condition and trends in priority natural resources in Lassen Volcanic National Park. This report and the spatial data sets provided with it is intended to inform and support park managers and scientists in developing recommendations for improving or maintaining natural resources conditions in the park. The report identifies 23 indicators to evaluate six resource concerns: Precipitation, Snowpack, and Water Availability; Surface Waters and their Resources; Terrestrial Vegetation; Wildlife; Air Quality; Natural Quality of the Park Experience Where reference conditions for each indicator are available, comparisons are made to present conditions and described as "Good," "Somewhat Concerning," "Significant Concern," or "Indeterminate." The same descriptions are also used for evaluating the indicator's trend. The certainty of the estimate is also ranked as High, Moderate, or Low based on the reliability and availability of the data.
