This three-year project has characterized wildland fire particulate matter (PM) emissions from laboratory fires during years 1 and 2 and from wildland fires during the third year of the study. Desert Research Institute has participated in all aspects of the project including planning, laboratory and field experiments, data analysis, and dissemination of results. This project has linked to other components of a multi-phase project administered by two CESU’s and a federal agency.
