This brief describes results of forest bird monitoring by the National Capital Region Network Inventory & Monitoring (NCRN I&M) program in the George Washington Memorial Parkway (GWMP) from 2007 to 2011. Includes map of the 20 monitoring plots in the GW Parkway, average Bird Community Index scores for each plot, and spark lines showing changes in species abundance for regionally abundant species and species of conservation concern. This document is excerpted from a forest bird monitoring report for the same time period.
