Wet Beaver Creek station was installed August 18, 2004, by NPS Water Rights Branch to investigate surface water and groundwater interactions in support of water rights claims. Wet Beaver Creek, a perennial stream, is located in the Verde Valley of Central Arizona. The headwaters of Wet Beaver Creek are located in Coconino National Forest upstream of Montezuma Well in Montezuma Castle National Monument. The NPS Water Rights Branch discontinued data collection on Wet Beaver Creek as of October 2008.
