Fire effects monitoring data collected at Voyageurs National Park (VOYA) in International Falls, MN. The data were collected during summer field seasons by the fire effects monitoring crew out of VOYA from 1989 - Present. Shrub density data is not measured. Photographs are taken from each end of the transect to document change. Data collected from 50 x 20 m forest plots include: tree inventory to obtain density and basal area, fuel load using Brown's method for inventorying surface fuels and biomass, seedling density, as well as all understory percent cover using 50m point intercept transects.
