Nps. 1991. KOBUK BREEDING BIRD SURVEY. National Park Service. Kotzebue, AK
Ann Wildman, Eric Gerke, and Geoffrey Smith set up and conducted breeding bird surveys in the vicinity of Onion Portage in Kobuk Valley National Park. Surveys were done during two time periods. The first was between 5/22/91 to 5/30/91 and the second was 6/23/91 to 6/28/91. Two types of transects were used--straight line transects and a 25 stop river transect. Five straight line transects were laid out near the Onion Portage Ranger Station to sample various types of habitat.
