Joshua Tree National Park FFI Fire Effects Monitoring Data

Forrestel A. 2011. Joshua Tree National Park FFI Fire Effects Monitoring Data

Fire effects monitoring data collected at Joshua Tree National Park in Twentynine Palms, CA. The data were collected during spring/summer field seasons by the fire effects monitoring crew out of Point Reyes National Seashore from 1991 - 2003. For most plots, data collected from shrub and/or grass transects are 30 meter point intercept data to obtain relative and percent cover. Shrub density data is also measured using brush belts along the same transect. Photographs are taken from each end of the transect to document change.
