A 10-year study of bat diversity and richness at the CNM and FBNHS will enable us to recognize long-term trends. This long-term project could illustrate how bats respond to weather extremes, water availability, and also indicate what species are common in these areas. In 2003, we completed year four of a ten year monitoring program for the National Park Service in southeastern Arizona at the CNM and FBNHS.
