As part of a project to better understand the ultraviolet light exposure of diurnal basking reptiles, the ultraviolet light (UVB) environment of free-living Western Sagebrush lizards Sceloporus graciosus gracilis at Lassen Volcanic National Park was monitored in July 2008,August 2009, June 2011 and July 2012. Our data verify that the Mountain Sagebrush lizard in LVNP has one of the highest voluntary UVB exposures of any other lizard or snake reported to date.
