Visitor Use Estimation along Trails in Rocky Mountain National Park. Research Permit and Reporting System

This report details the results of data collection efforts to estimate visitor use at various trailheads in Rocky Mountain National Park (ROMO) during the summer of 2013. Data were collected from June until early September. All analyses were conducted for dates through September 12 due to historic flood events that occurred in and around ROMO. Automated trail counters were installed at the following trailheads: Long’s Peak, Wild Basin, Lumpy Ridge, Deer Mountain, East Shore, and East Portal.
