Cave Link Radio Test - Final Paper
Cave Link Radio Test - Final Paper. Research Permit and Reporting System
On 2 Mar 2013, a radio test extended communications range to nearly a mile underground using UHF Ham Radio text/position reporting APRS radios using each other as automatic relays. 14 radios provided the data anywhere along the mile to the surface. Establishing the net was as easy as walking to the end of each radio’s range, then backing up to regain contact and placing a radio on a rock… Then continuing.
