New and Interesting Biatora-species, Mainly from North America
Printzen C and Tønsberg T. 2004. New and Interesting Biatora-species, Mainly from North America. Symbolae Botanicae Upsalienses. 34(1):343-357
Biatora appalachensis from SE North America, B. kodiakensis from NW North America and, possibly, Norway, B. oligocarpa from NW North America, and B. pycnidiata from NE North America are described as new. The new combination Biatora meiocarpa var. tacomensis is proposed. New collections and revised herbarium material indicate that the distributional ranges of B. alaskana and B. longispora are larger than hitherto assumed. Biatora alaskana is for the first time reported from Canada and B. longispora for the first time from South Korea and Turkey.
