The following is the result of an interagency review of the clean-up activities following three Burlington Northern train derailments during the winter of 1988 and 1989. These derailments resulted in massive amounts of corn being spilled alongside the tracks in several locations. This review of the clean-up operation has been undertaken at the request of the Flathead National Forest, Hungry Horse Ranger District. The review team report is as follows and is submitted as requested.
