Abstract A need for a restoration planning document was identified due to impacts from maintenance projects and visitor use in the Exit Glacier Area. Without active restoration, degraded areas will remain without native vegetation for an extended amount of time, and may become dominated with invasive plant species. The purpose of this document is to provide guidance and information for planning and implementing restoration projects in the Exit Glacier Area of Kenai Fjords National Park. This document includes information about project planning, revegetation techniques, compliance, permitting, site monitoring, and a preliminary list of plant species suitable for seed collection.
