1977. Olympic National Park and State Route 101, Ruby Beach Vicinity, Jefferson County, Washington. U.S. Department of Transportation; Washington State Department of Highways. Olympia, WA

The proposed highway improvement consists of the realignment and reconstruction of a 0.4 mile section of State Route 101 in the vicinity of Olympic National Park's access trail to Ruby Beach in Jefferson County. The project would eliminate the existing hazardous reverse curve condition in the highway alignment. The existing two-lane roadway, classified as a major highway, is heavily used by both tourist and commercial traffic. The proposed curve realignment will require the acquisition of 3.09 acres of Olympic National Park property.
