Increasing the accessibility of research conducted in Acadia National Park through digitization
Albee E, Miller-Rushing A, King R, Cole-Will R, Pontbriand K, Swann M. 2014. Increasing the accessibility of research conducted in Acadia National Park through digitization. National Park Service, Acadia National Park; Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park
For the past few summers, Acadia National Park has been working to digitize their bibliography of all research that has been done in the park. These documents include journal articles, letters, and park reports about research that was conducted in and around Acadia National Park since the park was formed. Information, such as title and author, and a digital copy of the documents were then uploaded to a database called the Integrated Resource Management Application, or IRMA (irma.nps.gov), so they could be accessed by scientists in the future.
