NPScape land cover metrics are calculated using data from the National Land Cover Database (NLCD), NOAA Coastal Change Analysis Program (CCAP), and the North American Land Change Monitoring System (NALC). Metric GIS datasets are produced seamlessly for the United States (Alaska, Contiguous Lower 48, Lower 48 Coastal Areas, Hawaiian Islands, CN Mariana Islands, Guam, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands), Canada, and Mexico, although geographic coverage and resolution vary across source datasets.
