This report describes techniques and results of a series of infrared video photography flights carried out along the Kona coast of the Big Island of Hawaii during the Fall of 1992. The purpose of these flights was to videotape the coastline in the 8---12 micrometer wavelength interval, so that images were created by the "light" of the earth's own radiation. It was expected that cold fresh water, leaking out to sea from the coastline, could be readily detected and discriminated from the warmer ocean waters. This expectation was successfully realized.
