The work was conducted by Seattle National Fishery Research Center with partial support from Olympic National Park (ONP). the goal for this work was to facilitate future planning and studies related to anadromous salmonids in ONP (such studies are identified in the proposal, "Studies of Anadromous Salmonids and Associated Fish Communities in Olympic National Park"; hereafter referred to as "the proposal") and the work addressed three tasks: 1. Conduct a reconnaissance-level survey of fish community structure in streams associated with ONP. 2. Collect scales from juvenile salmon and steelhead trout collected in Task (1). 3. Develop good working relations with State and tribal biologists working on or near ONP.
