The Proposed Action: Provide federal financial and technical assistance from the Corps to develop and implement regional wastewater collection and treatment systems for the Village of Islamorada service area that would address mandatory state wastewater treatment standards. This project is being implemented under the FKWQIP, which is intended to assist in alleviating water quality degradation resulting from the discharge of inadequately treated and untreated wastewater into near shore waters of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary (Sanctuary), and includes identified hotspots in the Keys. Finding of no significant impact.
