At the last meeting of the LEC Committee on May 26, 1994, the staff presentation showed if we don't change the system we'll have too many water shortages and cutbacks in urban and agricultural areas as well as severe problems in natural areas. In general we need more water south of the Lake; especially in the dry season. I am therefore proposing that we ask the staff to evaluate what I call the Storage Alternative. This alternative will be comprised of several of the listed options and some new options not on the list. Note that the following presumes the Everglades Forever Act mandates ...
