This study is an update to the 1997 Homestead Air Reserve Base (ARB) Air Installation Compatible Use Zone (AlCUZ) Study, hereafter referred to as the 1997 AlCUZ Study. The aircraft operational analysis for this AlCUZ Study was conducted in November 2002; however aircraft operations have not changed at Homestead ARB since that time. Therefore, this update documents changes to the 1997 AICUZ Study for the period from 1997 to 2004. This AlCUZ Study reaffirms the United States Air Force (USAF) policy of promoting public health, safety, and general welfare in areas surrounding USAF installations. The report presents changes in flight operations at Homestead ARB since the 1997 AICUZ Study and provides current noise contours and compatible use guidelines for land areas around the Base. This information is provided to assist local communities in future planning and zoning activities.
