The present study was undertaken to determine: 1) the changes in plant growth and plant cover with specified rates of trampling; 2) plant establishment on 32 year old road cuts; and 3) rates of down-slope movement of rock on scree slopes of different exposure. The disturbance and rock movement studies were conducted on Elk Mountain ca 1.5 km east of Obstruction Point. The road cut data were gathered ca 2 km from the end of the Obstruction Point road.
