Recent activity in marine oligochaete research has revealed a diverse and ecologically important tubificid fauna in muddy and sandy bottoms of warmer seas. The Phallodrilinae BRINKHURST, 1971 is one of the tubificid groups with very large numbers of tropical and sub-tropical species. In this paper a new monotypic genus of this sub-family is described.
