Two rediscovered Species of Littoral Copepods from Barbados collections

Yeatman H. 1975. Two rediscovered Species of Littoral Copepods from Barbados collections. Journal of the Tennessee Academy of Science. 50(1):2 - 6

The harpacticoid copepod, Heterolaophonte hamatus Jakobi, 1954 and the calanoid copepod, Pseudocyclops magnus Esterly, 1911 were found in 1972 collections from turtlegrass, Thallasia, in Barbados. This rediscovery enabled more complete descriptions of the females and descriptions of the males for the first time. Pseudocyclops Iatens Gurney, 1927 is considered to be synonymous with Pseudocyclops magnus.
