A Rediscription of Copepod, Ridgewayia Marki, with Description of an Unusual Specimen
Yeatman H. 1969. A Rediscription of Copepod, Ridgewayia Marki, with Description of an Unusual Specimen. Journal of the Tennessee Academy of Science. 44(1):7 - 10
Fifty-eight topotype specimens of Ridgewayia marki (Esterly, 1911) collected from Walsingham Cave, Bermuda on August 21, 1955 were used to redescribe this incompletely known species. It is now considered very closely related to R. shoemakeri, but chiefly differs from that species in the structure of the exopod of the left fifth leg of the male. An interesting male Ridgewayia sp. from Bermuda is partly described in hopes that additional specimens will be collected and the species can be named.
