Chorizanthe Valida insect survey report 2013. Research Permit and Reporting System

The intent of this study is to provide a general inventory of the insect fauna in the vicintiy of the endangered plant Chorizanthe valida, focusing on potential pollinators. The results are meant to supplement the recovery plan and could be used to inform the design of a full-fledged pollination study. Ants, tiny beetles, flies, solitary bees, bumble bees and wasps, all potential pollinators, were observed visiting the C. valida flower. In total, 23 species were identified to genus.
